PS-ATEX-HIGHBAY explosion proof LED high bay

PS-ATEX-HIGHBAY brings efficient LED light to hazardous areas where flammable gas, vapour or combustible dust may be present. The flameproof, dust-tight design is marked for gas Zones 1 and 2 and dust Zones 21 and 22, making it a straightforward replacement for older explosion-proof high bays in refineries, chemical plants, paint shops, grain stores and fuel depots.

Safe light where it matters most

Oil and gas sites, chemical processing, pharmaceutical plants, paint spray areas and grain or sugar handling all need lighting that cannot become an ignition source. PS-ATEX-HIGHBAY combines certified explosion protection with modern LED efficiency and a long service life.

Certified protection

ATEX II 2 G Ex db IIB T5 Gb and II 2 D Ex tb IIIC T95°C Db (TÜV 22 ATEX 8897 X), with IECEx TUR 22.0062X.

Lower energy use

160 lm/W. The 200 W model gives 32,000 lumens, replacing far higher wattage HID fittings.

Tough and safe

IK10 impact rating and tempered safety glass, in an IP65 dust and water protected housing.

Corrosion resistant

AkzoNobel anti-corrosion powder coating for chemical, coastal and offshore-type environments.

Surge protected

4 kV differential and 6 kV common mode. Do not add external surge protection: it would void the ATEX certificate.

Flexible mounting

Bracket rotates through 180° for precise aiming, with options for ceiling, wall and hook mounting.

PS-ATEX-HIGHBAY questions

Which zones is the PS-ATEX-HIGHBAY suitable for?

It is category 2 equipment (II 2G / II 2D), suitable for gas Zones 1 and 2 and dust Zones 21 and 22. It is not for Zone 0 or Zone 20.

Is it suitable for hydrogen?

No. It is certified for gas group IIB, which also covers IIA. Hydrogen and acetylene need IIC equipment.

What warranty do you give?

All Polaris products carry a 5-year warranty.
