How to Make Your Business Sustainable
Sustainability means so much in business. It influences on our ability to live on this planet.
The ways in which we can all live more sustainably can take many forms, such as:
- Reorganizing living conditions in the form of eco-villages, eco-municipalities, and sustainable cities.
- Reappraising economic sectors or work practices.
- Developing new technologies (green technologies, renewable energy, etc.)
- Making adjustments in individual lifestyles that conserve natural resources.
In the short run, sustainability is focussed on reducing energy cost and the lowest hanging fruit here is LED lights. However, 85% of the energy consumed today is still not Carbon free.
In the long run, companies will also need to look at local sources of Green Energy and today’s front-runners are Onshore Wind and Solar. Onshore wind may still produce energy slightly cheaper, but solar is much more versatile and still improving efficiency rapidly.
